While he does his best to control himself, Jago still struggles with the corrupting influence of Gargos. When it comes to battle, he’s just as fierce and ready as his competition. Out of all the people, he only shows a meaningful connection with his sister, Orchid. Personalityīefitting a Tibetian monk, Jago is a calm and composed man who doesn’t let emotions overwhelm him. As such, he seeks to find and destroy him, all while ensuring that his mind will never again fall to corruption. While he successfully fought back the evil spirit and regained control, he freed Omen in the process. As Jago began to fight within his own mind, Shadow Jago caused chaos and destruction in the name of Gargos. The Tiger Spirit turned out to be the projection of Gargos and overtook Jago, turning him into the entity known as Shadow Jago. At the time, he couldn’t perceive that the spirit was not what it seemed and kept competing until he almost killed Orchid, his long-lost sister.Īfter coming back from the tournament, he tried to quell the negative feelings growing inside him, but it was too late. In self-imposed punishment, Jago left the temple, becoming a hermit and focusing on his inner strength.ĭuring his meditations, a Tiger Spirit visited him, granting Jago immense power and telling him to enter the Ultratech’s Killer Instinct tournament in order to destroy them. One day, a fellow monk attacked him under the influence of evil powers, and Jago killed him in self-defense. They raised him as their own, and Jago grew up to be a strong warrior, maybe too strong. Jago’s story began when he was abandoned by his parents and left in front of a temple in the Himalayas as a baby.
